Hong Kong and Shenzhen jointly organized the 26th ICCA HK Side Event

On 8 May 2024, the South China International Arbitration Center (HK) (SCIAHK), the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong (HKU LAW), and the International Dispute Resolution Academy (IDRA) hosted a side event of the 26th ICCA Congress. The event was held at the SCIAHK conference room on the 57th floor of Two International Finance Centre (2IFC) in Hong Kong, with support from the UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific (UNCITRAL RCAP), the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), the European Chinese Arbitration Association (ECAA), Haiwen & Partners LLP, and Quadrant Chambers from the UK.

As a side event of the ICCA Congress, this seminar focused on “Law, Peace, and Harmonious Development.” Professionals from the UK, France, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen were invited to engage in in-depth discussions and exchanges on the construction and collaborative practices of mechanisms for harmonious international dispute resolution and the role of international arbitration in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Over 80 experts, scholars, corporate executives, senior arbitrators, and lawyers from nearly 20 countries and regions participated in the seminar and the networking session.
